New Center News

Life happens, and circumstances change! Sorrows, fears, and disappointments come. Are you content in any situations you face but most of all, how are we to deal with it? In Philippians 4:11 “we see not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Not with standing ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.” In the verses we see where the apostle Paul knew how to be content whether he had a lot or a little. How do we deal with it? Through the scriptures and relying on God’s power for strength. When we find that we are discontent we need to learn that we can count on God’s promises to help us to be content. God supplies all of our needs (not wants) in a way that he knows is best for us. By placing our trust in Christ our wants and attitudes can change from needing to have everything to being content with what he has provided for us!
