Chamber shows appreciation to city workers

The Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce held the annual City Appreciation Luncheon for all City of Hartselle and Hartselle Utilities employees Thur., Dec. 8.

The event was held at the Burleson Center/Hartselle Fine Arts Center. Between 89 and 100 employees were in attendance. Those attended enjoyed a holiday lunch with all the trimmings.

The chamber holds this event each December to show appreciation for the dedication of city employees and utility folks who provide services to all of citizens of Hartselle. Members of the chamber board along with chamber ambassadors and volunteers decorate the facility and serve the food for the attendees.

This year’s meal included turkey and dressing, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, along with great desserts. Hometown Market of Hartselle provided the meal for this year’s lunch. The event was made possible by the following sponsors, Hagen Homes, Ken Williams Insurance, Gilchrist Pharmacy, Pepsi Cola Bottling, United Country Four Oaks Realty/The Tank Team, Mack’s Paint & Body Shop and Peck Funeral Home. Sponsor donations provide the meal for the luncheon.

Freight House Restaurant, Copeland Classic Cleaners, Apple’s Florist, Lowes and Pigskin BBQ provided door prizes for those attending.

All attending had smiles on their faces and enjoyed the food and fellowship at the event.
