Morgan County flu clinic on Oct. 26

The Morgan County Health Department and the Morgan County Emergency Management Agency are hosting a Point of Dispensing drive-thru flu clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Morgan County Fairgrounds, 2919 Fairground Road in Decatur.
It is recommended that the following receive the flu vaccine:

 Pregnant women

 Children over age six months

 People over age 50

 Anyone with a chronic disease

 Health Care Personnel

The purpose of the clinic is to provide the public with a flu vaccine to assist in reducing flu illness and prevent flu-related hospitalizations. MCHD and Morgan EMA

will also use this clinic as an exercise to respond in case an Influenza outbreak

occurrs and a mass vaccination is needed to help prevent the spread of a virus. The

exercise is a joint response between Pubic Health, Morgan County EMA, Decatur

Police Department, Decatur Fire and Rescue, and the Decatur Citizens Police Academy.

Flu shots are $5 or free with Medicare card.
