Mary Louise Spain Richey

Funeral for Mary Louise Spain Richey, 84, of Hartselle will be Thur., Feb. 4, at 3 p.m. at Deer Springs Baptist Church with Bro Charles Forman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Her body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Mt Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Wed., Feb. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Richey died Tues., Feb. 2, 2016, at her residence. She was born Aug. 19, 1931, in Morgan County to Willie Clyde Spain and Ella Mae Green Spain. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Donna Baggett.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Wesley Britton Richey Jr.; a son, Bobby Richey (Teresa); four daughters, Shelia Tucker (Lee), Weslie Richey Nelson (Ken), Deborah Wittig-Wells (Dennis) and Mary McDaniel (George); 18 grandchildren, Beverly Storm, Alan Anderson, Mark Anderson, Wesley Lee Sheeks, Randile Umfress, Summer Garrison, John Ziak, Joy Driggers, Hope Wright, Kendall Nelson, Joseph Nelson, Angi Hargett, Mitzi Hargett, Allison Jetton, Dana Champion, Hannah Lewis, Luke McDaniel and Levi McDaniel; 35 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Ziak, Joseph Nelson, Kendall Nelson, Levi McDaniel, Luke McDaniel, Taylor Ziak, Brian Wilkinson and Zack Hobbs.
