The Danville-Neel Physical Education Program is promoting positive behavior, effort, and leadership during our Physical Education classes.  On our quest to implement all of the 7 Habits, the Physical Education teachers designed a reward system called the 110% Club.  We all know that coaches want 110% effort from their players. Therefore, the club is based on the concept of winners / leaders giving 110%. We wanted to focus on developing personal goals for learning, behavior and attitudes while using positive reinforcement. The Physical Education teachers at DNES use statements like: “I like how you…” and “I am proud of you for…”

Members of the 110% Club are putting their best “foot” forward and are rewarded by being given personal recognition, an award that is posted on the gym wall, and a “token” to put on their shoe laces. The reward system works in conjunction with DNES “Train” theme as a reminder to stay on the right track in Physical Education.

Last year, our school at DNES implemented the S.O.A.R program. SOAR reminds our students to be aware of their efforts in the areas of Safety, Organized, Accountable and Respectful.
