Funeral for Zack Barnett Jr., 79, of Lacey’s Spring will be Sat., July 11, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike McLemore officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be Fri., July 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Barnett died Thur., July 9, 2015, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born July 5, 1936, in Morgan County to Zack Barnett, Sr. and Gracie Barnett. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pat” Barnett; two sons, Phillip Barnett of Lacey’s Spring and Terry Barnett (Kim) of Huntsville; two daughters, Sherry Thompson (William) of Moulton and Lynn Barrett of Lacey’s Spring; three brothers, James “Buddy” Barnett, Earl Barnett and Rayburn Barnett, all of Somerville; two sisters, Lucille Brown of Valhermoso Springs and Helen Bailey of Somerville; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Travis Barnett, Joel Wilson, Cecil Blocker, Joey Barnett, Raylon Barnett and Noel Bailey.

Honorary pallbearers will be William Thompson, Bryan Barnett, Chase Barrett and Ryan Barnett.

Mr. Barnett’s family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Huntsville Hospital, Cotaco VFD and Life Guard.
