Funeral for Tim Smith, 46, of Hartselle was Mon., Jan. 5, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Randy Ashley and Ronnie Marvutt officiating.

Burial was in Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Winston County.

Mr. Smith died Thur., Jan. 1, 2015, at his residence. He was born June 13, 1968, in Escambia County to James Albert and Jane Ward Smith. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church, served in the U.S. Army for nine years and was a dog rescue volunteer.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Rhoads Smith of Hartselle, a son, Tucker King of Hartselle; his mother, Jane Ward Smith of Brewton; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bobby and Margaret Rhoads of Hartselle, two brothers, Jeffrey Allen Smith (Lisa) of Madison and Christopher Michael Smith of Dothan; three aunts; Jeanette Barnett, Mavis Prater and Laranell Burns; a niece, Colleen Smith and a nephew, Garrett Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dog Rescue Foundation.
