Thank you from local church

Dear Editor,

Yes. Thank you all for making the Pumpkin Carving and Warm to the COR bonfire and Coat Giveaway such a fantastic success.

Many people, {at least 3 carloads of kids}, came and ate and carved or decorated pumpkins and enjoyed the bonfire atmosphere.

Three huge pots of chili fed everyone. Thank you to the cooks! There were no leftovers of cobbler either.

The Warm to the COR team gave away nearly 50 coats and jackets to people who needed them. The remaining clothing will go to Hope House for distribution. Oh, and SOCKS. Lots of socks were also given away.

It was sheer blessing to see so many people come out for this lively event. It is even more wonderful that so many coats and socks found new homes. It was great to meet so many new people, too.

Y’all come back now. Come and share with our community.
