Man, woman face multiple charges

Two Falkville residents face multiple drug-related crimes following the execution of a search warrant at 237 Highway 55 E in Falkville Tuesday morning.

Falkville Police Chief Chris Free said James D. McCormick, 43 and Vickie D. Pace, 42, both were charged with the distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and manufacturing of a controlled substance I. They were transported to Morgan County Jail where they are awaiting bond hearings.

The search warrant, which was secured after a three-month narcotics investigation, was ducted by Falkville police officers,

At the residence, a female met officers at the front door. Officers entered the residence and secured two individuals. They found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and ingredients used to manufacture meth.

Morgan County Sheriff Ana Franklin and the Morgan County Drug Task Force assisted in the collection of lab evidence. The items were field tested and tested positive for methamphetamine.

Morgan County Animal Control took five dogs from the residence.
