Funeral for Alice E. Posey, 78, of Decatur will be Mon., March 17, at 2 p.m. at New Center Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Bates officiating.

Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Posey died Sat., March 15, 2014, at her home She was born Sept. 19, 1935, in Hartselle to Otto Blankenship and Mary Brooks Blankenship. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Posey.

She is survived by four sons, Danny Bates (Bev) of Hartselle, Randy Posey (Joquitta) of Cullman, Daniel Posey (Doris) of Huntsville and Bobby Posey (Mary) of Cullman, three daughters, Anita Hensley of Cullman, Melissa Knighten (Paul) of Decatur and Susan Metcalf (John) of Cullman; 16 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers.
