Funeral for Dean Parker Sheppard Holmes, 74, of Eva was Tues., March 11, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chris Johnson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery (Oden Ridge).

Mrs. Holmes died Sat., March 8, 2014, at her residence. She was born Nov. 3, 1939, in Marshall County to Walter Lee Parker and Edisy Mae Sampson Parker. She was owner of Dean’s Grocery, Arts and Crafts. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Onice Lee Holmes of Eva; two daughters, Shirley Sheppard Barr of Eva and Sharon Sheppard Childers of Arab; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren

Pallbearers were friends and family.
