Falkville kindergarten takes tour of Falkville

Visiting with Herman and Adell Gibson have been J.C. and Margaret Dunaway, Oneal Parker, Charles and Ruth Stidham, Howard and Helen Gibson of Priceville and Franklin and Sue Harrison of Decatur.

A Gideon speaker will be at First Baptist Church Falkville on Oct. 20 at 10:30 a.m.

Falkville Blue Devils will play host to Addison on Oct. 18. They have a record of 6-0. Go out, support your team, and cheer them on to another win.

Victory Fellowship Church located on East Pike Road, Falkville, will have a fun and food night on Oct. 26 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Winners of the Falkville Festival Decoration Contest were: first place, Falkville United Methodist Church, second place, First Baptist Church Falkville; and third place, Victory Fellowship Church Falkville.

Business decoration winners were: first place tie, Falkville Healthcare Center and Falkville Medical Clinic; second place tie, Momma’s Road House Grill and Carpenters Cabinet; and third place tie, Anna Beauty Salon and M & M Auction.

The four classes of Falkville School Kindergarten made a tour of the town last Friday along with their teachers.

The tour included visits to the Town Hall, bank, post office, fire station and library. They ate lunch at Jack McCaig Park.

Victory Fellowship Church Falkville, located on East Pike Road, has church services at 6 p.m. Danny Pitts from Grove Point Church in Decatur will be the guest speaker on Oct. 27 at 10 a.m.
