HHS golf sets school record in tourney win

The Hartselle Boys Golf team won the Scottsboro Invitational at Goose Pond GC on Fri., April 12, with a team score of 299, defeating Hazel Green HS by 1 stroke. 26 teams participated in the tournament, including Cullman, Hoover, Grissom, and Bob Jones. Individual scores were: Aaron Compton – 73, Robbie Fields – 75, Jake Tiffin – 75, Jordan Hartsell – 76, Garrett Reist – 89. Aaron Compton was named to the All-Tournament team. This is the lowest team score in the history of Hartselle high school golf. This is the second tournament victory on the year, with the team having won the Morgan County Tournament on March 18. They have a 6-1 record in other matches.
