Girls youth softball season underway in Hartselle (with gallery)

“We didn’t have enough players sign up to have a 12U division and that probably caused the number to be down. A lot of the girls in this age group play on travel teams.”

“We were fortunate to get play started on schedule and look forward to a successful season,” Crow stated. “The Parks & Recreation Department always does a masterful job of getting the fields ready to play and we greatly appreciate their support. We’re also indebted to our league officers, team managers and coaches, parents and players for all that they do.”

Working with Crow as commissioners are: Christy Barber, 6U; Sandy Collins, 8U; Kim Parker, 10U; and Sherry Fincher, 14U.

Game play dates are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. There is no admission charge and everyone is invited to attend the games and support their favorite teams.
