Lady Pats take another step, win county title

All five starters – Northway, Harvel, McLemore, Malorie Drinkard and Savana Flack – were named to the all-tournament team. The Patriots  were led by MVP Northway who finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.

Malorie Drinkard had 15 points and six rebounds. McLemore added nine points, followed by Emily Oden and Harvel with five points, Caitlin Lavendar with four points, Flack with three points and Sierra Kinsey with two.

“II’ve always hated that one of the starting five was always left out,” Allen said. “They all deserved to make the all-tournament team and I’m glad all five could be recognized tonight.

“This group is as finely tuned as any five I’ve ever had.”

Drinkard said the key was getting off to a good start in the game.

“I really think the difference was in our rebounding,” Drinkard said. “That really helped us get going early.”
