Jackson Plumbing named finalist for BBB Torch Award

Jackson Plumbing d/b/a: Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was honored as a finalists for the Torch Award during the 15th Annual Torch Awards celebration at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville.

The Better Business Bureau of North Alabama, Inc. hosted its annual celebration and announced the winners and finalists of its Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics.

The BBB also recognized six North Alabama “Students of Integrity” who were selected to receive this years’ Torch Scholarships. GaN Corporation, a Huntsville based company that was named as the winner of the 2011 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics in the Government Contractor category, served as the event’s Presenting Sponsor.

More than 265 companies and non-profit organizations were nominated for the Torch Award and were given the opportunity to submit information regarding their ethical relationships with customers, employees and vendors. A prestigious panel comprised of representatives of the academic and business community judged the entries from forty-five businesses and organizations that accepted their nomination and provided an entry for the Torch Award.
