A recently formed company, Christopher Ellis Company L.L.C. will open its doors for business Oct. 1 in an existing building at 400 Short Street in Hartselle.
The company will work with North Alabama hospital organizations to address specific needs for hospital “Life Safety Programs” and orthopedic post-surgery patients, according to John C. Nelson, senior vice president.
“First, we are seeking individuals that have undergone life changing mobility issues as a result of a surgery that limits access to their home or office,” Nelson said. “Secondly, we seek hospital organizations that are moving forward in their efforts through the “Environment of Care” to protect its patients, visitors and staff by being 100 percent compliant 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days per year in facilities operations.”
“This is something entirely new in the health care field,” Nelson said. “For several months, we have been working with the “Women’s Business Center of North Alabama” to develop a business plan for patients of the future.”
The company will open with seven trained employees on its staff. Plans are to create 15-25 jobs over the next six months and 50 jobs within 12 months for North Alabama residents.
