Lady Tigers' bats stay hot in wins

Sara Lang's two-run home run helped pace the Lady Tigers to a win at home against Hazel Green Friday night.
Audrey McClanahan hit a three-run double and Breanna Segars finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Segars also picked up the win on the mound, striking out 10 and allowing three hits in the complete-game win.
Hartselle 16, Brewer 0
The Lady Tigers scored seven runs in the first inning, four in the second and five in the third before the game was called on the mercy rule. Hartselle (9-3) had 14 hits in the win.
Chandler Orr finished with a home run and four RBIs on 3-of-3 hitting. She scored three runs. Kayla Byford finished 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs and Anna Hall was 1-for-1 with two RBIs.
Kristy Pevahouse had two singles and scored a run; Kayla Orr had a run and an RBI; Sara Lang scored two runs and picked up an RBI and Whitley Collins scored two runs and had an RBI.
Breanna Segars pitched the first two innings, striking out two and allowing no hits. Michel Fields pitched the final inning, allowing two hits and striking out one. Ashley Henderson took the loss for Brewer.
Jessica Henderson and Brittney Matthews each had singles for the Lady Patriots.
Hartselle 12, Cullman 4
Sara Lang hit a three-run home run to help lead Hartselle to an easy road win in the Lady Tigers' area opener March 14.
Kayla Orr hit a two-run home run of her own and finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs and four runs.
Mary Curtis picked up the win, pitching seven innings and striking out six.
