Funeral for Marshall Edward Champion, 67, of Hartselle was Tuesday, Aug. 29, at 4:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Homer Jones officiating.
Burial was in Center Springs Cemetery near Somerville.
Mr. Champion died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Sept. 12, 1938, in Morgan County to Clifford E. Champion and Lizzie (Plunkett) Champion.
He is survived by a son, Robert Champion of Falkville; three daughters, Elaine Whitt of Athens, and Geneva Mendez and Cathy Champion, both of Falkville; two brothers, James Champion of Hartselle and W. C. Champion of Falkville; a sister, Linda Gail Kyle of Priceville; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and eight step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mike May, Joseph Hill, Jason Roberson, Robert Suggs, Greg Bell and Jody Russell.
