James Elton 'Mac' McKenzie

Funeral for James Elton "Mac" McKenzie, 83, of Priceville was Monday, Aug. 29, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Harold Fanning officiating.
Burial was in Bethlehem West Cemetery in Cullman County.
Mr. McKenzie died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at Floyd E. "Tut" Fann State Veterans Home in Huntsville. He was born July 27, 1922, in Cullman County to William P. McKenzie and Belle King McKenzie. He was retired from the Decatur City School System and the U.S. Army Reserves and was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Mr. McKenzie was preceded in death by his grandson, Brian Stuart Bowen.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Raley McKenzie of Priceville; a son, Larry McKenzie and his wife Rebecca of Vestavia Hills; a daughter, Judy Bowen and her husband Buck of Priceville; four sisters, Rachel Hopper of Cullman, Thelma Carter of Decatur, Edna Faye Moore of Cullman and Linda Bosic of Vinemont; three grandchildren, Justin Blaine McKenzie, Amanda Bowen Hill and Jordan Alyson McKenzie; and one great-grandchild, Cameron Hill.
Pallbearers were nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
