Funeral for Gary Powell, 48, of Falkville, will be Thursday (today), June 12, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bill Partridge and Jim McChesney officiating.
Burial will be in Powell's Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Powell died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at his residence. He was born Sept. 3, 1954, in Morgan County to Horace W. Powell and Cora L. Jarrett Powell. He was an engineer for CSX Transportation.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Powell of Falkville; five sons, Chad Powell, Nathan Powell, Christopher Stephenson, Kameron Wheeler and Kainan Powell, all of Falkville; three daughters, Nilah Smith of Huntsville and Chasity Powell and Keniesha Wheeler, both of Falkville; his parents, Horace and Cora Powell of Falkville; two brothers, Jerry Powell and Allen Powell, both of Falkville; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Johnson, Frank Graveman, Roy Dickerson, Allen Jennings, Jackie Ponder and Keith Penn.
Honorary pallbearers will be CSX Railroad co-workers.
