Johnson, Curtis to wed
Marcus Johnson of Hartselle and Clara Johnson of Decatur announce the engagement of their daughter, Shanna Danielle Johnson of Hartselle, to Caleb Reed Curtis of Florence, son of James and Maryln Curtis of Florence.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Whitman and Nelda Johnson of Dutton and Ovid and Annie Britt of Macedonia.
A 2005 graduate of Auburn University with a degree in marketing, she is employed with the City of Auburn as a police and fire dispatcher.
The groom-elect is the grandson of William Grady and Bessie Elizabeth Curtis of Florence and Horace B. and Mary Lee Smith of Waterloo. He received his associate’s degree in emergency medicine from Southern Union in 2005. He is employed as a firefighter with the City of Auburn and a paramedic for Lee County East Alabama Medical Clinic.
The wedding is planned for November 4 in Key West, Florida.
William, Garrett to wed
Sanford and Judy Willis of Gadsden announce the engagement of their daughter, Holly Willis, to Blake Garrett, son of Craig and Myra Garrett of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a graduate of The University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority at UA. She is employed with Gadsden City Schools.
She is the granddaughter of Grady Witcher, Sara Willis, the late J.D. Witcher and the late W.A. Willis.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in agronomy and soils.
He is employed with Honours Golf as a superintendent at Farmlinks Golf Club. He is the grandson of Bill and Cindy Garrett of Hartselle, Joann Garrett of Birmingham, Mary Howard and the late Eddie Howard.
The wedding will be Dec. 23 at First Baptist Church of Gadsden.
