Supporters make program work
Editor:
The Hartselle Public Library would like to thank Pizza Hut, Dari-Delite, Dairy Queen, Sonic, McDonald's and the Hartselle Enquirer for their generous donations to our Summer Reading Program. We appreciate the support from Hartselle's local businesses and we are overwhelmed by the encouragement from the citizens of Hartselle. We also want to recognize the "Friends of the Library" and the members of the Hartselle Public Library Board who volunteer their time and energy all year to improving our library. The members of the Board are: Cindy Roberts, Jane Anne Fields, Barbara Holladay, Cristal Owens, and Lynn Blankenship. The "Friends" are: Betty Lockhart, Carolyn Halford, Christine Grove, Alice Jean Glasgow, Lynn Blankenship, Jimelle Reeves, Clara Howell and Sherry Walker. The library is very fortunate to have such outstanding volunteers.

I'm proud Hartselle's my home town
Editor:
This was my third year to help with a program called "Christmas in June." It is a program founded by Hospice of the Valley.
The youth volunteers have a Christmas for their patients who, unfortunately, will not be with us by this Christmas.
I would like to thank the following merchants and people of Hartselle for their donations: Kroger, First American Bank, Family Security Credit Union, Wal-Mart, West Hartselle Baptist Church, Hometown Grocery, Corum's Building Supply and Mr. and Mrs. Craig Garrett.
Thanks, Hartselle, for stepping up when there is a need. I'm proud to call you my hometown.
