Funeral for Estelle Viola Pierce, 81, of Vinemont was Sunday, July 3, at 2 p.m. at Bell Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Jerry Freeman and Jeremy Hudgins officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Pierce died Friday, July 1, 2005, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Oct. 6, 1923, in Morgan County to John Lafayette Sullins and Lillie Francis Sammons Sullins.
She was a member of Bell Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. T. Pierce; two sons, Larry Pierce and Rickey Pierce; seven brothers, Allie Sullins, Henry Sullins, Burben Sullins, Mack Sullins, Doyle Sullins, W. H. Sullins and David Sullins; and three sisters, Nettie Williams, Joyce Heck and Vera Summerford.
She is survived by two sons, Jim Pierce and wife Carolyn and Jerry Pierce and wife Mary, all of Vinemont; four daughters, Pat Brakeman and husband Frank and Barbara Thomas and husband Larry, all of Vinemont, Linda Wiley and husband Jimmy of Hartselle and Vickie Hoffman and husband Jim of Enterprise; two sisters, Mae Cole and Mildred Hopper and husband Dude, all of Hartselle; sister-in-law, Irene Sullins of Hartselle; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Spencer Thomas, Greg Brakeman, Jason Pierce, Daniel Wiley, Jomar Elswick, Michael McDonald and Lee Paris.
Honorary pallbearer was Randy Brakeman.
