Funeral for Alton C. "Billy" Parker, 71, of Decatur was Monday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. at Corinth Methodist Church with Bro. Clark officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Corinth Cemetery.
Mr. Parker died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, at Parkway Medical Center. He was born Jan. 10, 1934, in Lawrence County to William Knoff Parker and Maude Terry Parker.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Jo Welburn Parker of Decatur; four sons, Laron Parker and Sidney Parker, both of Trinity, and Wayne Johnson and Cullie Johnson, both of Moulton; two daughters, Darlene Bowers of Moulton and Sheila Patterson of Decatur; two brothers, Virgle Parker of Hillsboro and Joe Parker of Decatur; two sisters, Annie Scruggs and Jean Morris, both of Courtland; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bart Johnson, Britt Johnson, Stacy Johnson, Jacob Bowers, Josh Patterson and Tony Barnes.
