Funeral services for Alma Jean Maxwell Garnett Thomas, 78, of Peoria, IL will be held July 23 at Pleasant Hill Congregation at Parkside Kingdom Hall of Jehovan's Witnesses, Peoria, IL with Brother Shawn Reeves officiating and Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel directing. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on July 23 at Mt. Hawley Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomas died Friday, July 16, 2004 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. She was born February 10, 1926 in Somerville to Tennis W. Maxwell and Verdie Briscoe Maxwell. Mrs. Thomas was a self-employed provider of Home Health Care. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Peoria. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husbands, Walker E. Garnett and John Wesley Thomas; and one brother, Dude Maxwell.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Garnett and wife Shelley of Peoria, and Gary Garnett and wife Caroline of Greenville, IL; four daughters, Glenda Franz and husband Jack of Chillicothe, IL, Vicky Suzanne Garnett of Bartonville, IL, Patricia McClure and husband Dave of Norwood, IL, and Regina Diane Garnett of Pekin, IL; three brothers, James Maxwell and Dale Maxwell, both of Somerville, and Bill Maxwell of Decatur; 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
