Fire on the River revival to be held this weekend in Lacey’s Spring

By Staff Reports

Pamela Turney grew up attending fish fries held by her grandfather Smith Ledbetter.

Turney said it was like going back in time this past Saturday when she and her son hosted a fish fry at Ledbetter’s home in Lacey’s Spring as a way of building interest for an upcoming three-day tent revival.

The tent revival will be held June 23-25 at the same location. The featured speaker is Brian Lukyamuzi. Lukyamuzi is the preacher of the Redeemed Bible Church in Mpigi, Uganda.

The revival will be the culmination of a month of weekend celebrations on the 10th anniversary of Turney’s business in Lacey’s Spring, Graves Grocery.

“It’s been miraculous,” Turney said. “I still can’t believe how wonderful it has all been. The fish fry has donations as high as the sales from our thrift store. It was just beautiful confirmation that we’re on the right track.”

The tent revival will be held Friday and Saturday from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday from 3-5 p.m.

It will be held at 130 Coffee Bluff Rd., Lacey’s Rd.
