Reading Level: Adult

Psyche Dimitriou is one of Demeter’s daughters. She knows how to play the image games in Olympus, and she knows how to avoid negative gossip; however, she forgets her reputation when she decides to help Eros Ambrosia patch up her newest stab wound.

What will happen when the paparazzi catch them in a compromising position? What will his jealous mother, Aphrodite, do when all the attention is on her rivals’ daughter and not her?

This is a modern retelling of the Greek myth of Psyche and Eros. In the original myth, Aphrodite becomes jealous of Psyche’s beauty and calls for her death. This book is great for readers who love dark romance. This book is available on our new service, Hoopla.

Title: “If I’m Found”
Author: Terri Blackstock
Reading Level: Adult

This is the second book in this trilogy about Casey Cox, who is wanted for the murder of her best friend, Brent.

Dylan, who is hired by Brent’s parents, has found Casey. The problem is, he believes she is innocent, and he is secretly working to find evidence on the real killer while trying to keep Casey safe.

When putting together her case, Casey discovers a suicide note stuck in a personal Bible with the name Cole Whittington. Casey feels compelled to find out whether Cole went through with it and to return the Bible to his family.

She is successful in tracking him down, relieved to find he canceled his suicide plan – but there is something else happening beyond what the letter alludes to that will challenge his decision.

During her investigation, she witnesses a young girl seemingly neglected by her parents, only to find that she is enduring regular abuse by a man named Fred, with her parents’ knowledge. Casey refuses to let this be and commits herself to freeing this little girl – even if it means the loss of her own life.

This Christian fiction series can be checked out from the library or borrowed on the Libby app.
