Brewer struggles to keep pace with West Point

SOMERVILLE – Despite scoring four runs on just two hits, the Brewer softball team dropped a 19-4 decision to West Point on Monday afternoon.

Madisen Adams tallied three RBIs and a triple in the setback, while Hannah Graves picked up the other RBI for the Lady Patriots. West Point scored eight runs in the second, four runs in the third and six runs in the fourth to seize control of the game.

Danville 11, Addison 1

Lady Hawks run-rule Addison behind offensive outburst

DANVILLE – The Danville softball team scored in all five innings played on its way to a comfortable 11-1 victory over Addison on Monday. Emma Broadfoot had a solid day at the plate finishing the game 3-2 with a double, triple and three RBIs. Callie Ryan went 2-4 with two RBIs, while Lindsey West went 2-2 and Laney Coker finished the game 2-3.

Coker also picked up the win in the circle tossing three scoreless innings while striking out five. Emily Watts pitched the final two innings allowing just one run.

Soccer:

West Morgan 8, Clements 1 (VG)

Lady Rebels dominate in road victory at Clements

ATHENS – Mari Julia Delgado notched four goals while Helena Jankowski recorded a hat trick as the West Morgan girls soccer team picked up an 8-1 over Clements on Monday.

Maribel Delgado also tallied a goal and an assist as Joseline Lopez was steady in net picking up five saves and allowing just one goal. West Morgan improves to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the Class 1A-3A Area 8 standings.

Priceville 10, Decatur Heritage 0 (VG)

Priceville dominates again, blanks Decatur Heritage

PRICEVILLE – It was another lopsided result for the Priceville soccer team as they easily downed Decatur Heritage 10-0 on Monday.

Karli Wade recorded a hat trick and an assist, while Olivia Dunn stayed hot with two goals and an assist. Katrina Rotermund, Anna Swindell, Maegan Thurston and Ines Von Mahland each tallied a goal in the double-digit win.
