Morgan County Clean-up this week
The Morgan County Commission is working on a plan for free, year-around clean-up. plans for this new program will be announced very soon.
Until then, the Morgan County Commission and adopt-a-mile are hosting an April clean-up for all residents of Morgan County.
All residence of Morgan County, can participate by bringing those *unwanted items, at no charge, to any of the three following locations, with proof of residency.
LOCATION #1: Mon., April 3 to Sat., April 8 Decatur/Morgan Landfill, 256-341-4993, Hwy. 20 West – 500 Landfill Dr., Trinity. Hours: Mon. – Fri. a 6 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and Saturday, 7 a.m.-11 a.m.
LOCATION #2: Tues., April 4 to Sat., April 8 Morgan County Environmental Services, 256-773-3887, 1316 Industrial Drive SE, Hartselle. Hours: Tues. – Fri., 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sat. 7 a.m.-11 a.m.
LOCATION #3: Mon., April 10 to Thur., April 13 and Sat., April 15 (closed Fri., April 14th) District #4 Shop, Commissioner Greg Abercrombie, 256-778-8515, located on Union Hill Road, ¾ mile east of Cotaco – 424 Union Hill Rd., Somerville. Hours: Mon.-Thur. 6 a.m.-4 p.m. (closed Fri.). Sat. 7 a.m.-11 a.m.
*Items not accepted at clean-up sites: shingles, tires, household garbage, lumber or hazardous chemicals.
Chem-Collection is the 2nd Saturday of each month at 1802 Central Parkway SW, Decatur. Call 256-341-4770 for details.
