Hartselle native to release first book
Hartselle resident MJ Boshers is releasing her first book in a three-book series which the release date coming in May of 2017.
Her debut novel, The Faewitch, book one is a story of a sixteen-year-old girl who discovers a new world. She’s taken to an immortal realm for protection, but when she stumbles upon a secret, she realizes she must be their protector and she must learn to use her new powers fast. She will fight for a world she never knew existed, for a family she never knew she had and for a love greater than she could ever imagine,” as stated by the author.
According to Boshers, the Faewitch is different from other fantasy stories.
“A lot of the fantasy folklore has been tapped out so her only choices were to write something totally new, stay with the traditional lore, or evolve, so I did all three. “By writing these situations in the book, it is more relatable and believable. Though it is a fantasy world, the characters still deal with problems that normal young adults deal with every day.”
Boshers is an author of fantasy and YA novels. She lives in Hartselle with her husband and daughter.
Boshers will host a book signing on May 6, at Hartselle High School beginning at 1 p.m.
