Funeral for James Allen “Jimmy” Rittman, 71, of Hartselle was Mon., Feb. 27, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Compton and Bro. Jon-Allen Stanley officiating.

Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

Mr. Rittman died Fri., Feb. 24, 2017, at his residence. He was born April 15, 1945, in Nashville to Charles and Thelma Louise Rittman. Mr. Rittman retired from Pepsi Cola Bottling Company where he served as a public relations manager. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Allison Rittman; and a great-grandson, Dakota Cocke.

He is survived by a son, Mark Rittman (Lori) of Hartselle; a daughter, Melissa Moore (Scott) of Somerville; two brothers, Robert W. Rittman (Linda) of Tennessee and Michael L. Rittman (Gail) of Tennessee; a sister, Patricia A. Brown of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Courtney Cocke, Emily King, John David Rittman and Andrew Rittman; three great-grandchildren:

Lily Cocke, Westen King and Kolten King; and former wife, Brenda Alvis.

Pallbearers were family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the NARCOG Foundation, P.O. Box C Decatur, AL 35602.
