Swamp John’s dinner planned at Fairview: The Grace Place May 17

A Swamp John dinner will be May 17 at Fairview: The Grace Place at 11:30 a.m. Dinner will consist of your choice of shrimp, fish or combo with hush puppies, French fries, slaw, dessert and drink. For more information, call 256-784-5642.

The J. L. Bryan Family of Falkville recently met at Cracker Barrel in Hartselle to help their brother, Lavonis celebrate his upcoming birthday. Enjoying the time together were Loy and Ron Jones of Birmingham, Peggy and Brownie Nelson of Athens, Becky and Keith Bryan of Eva, Billy Bryan, Dean Nelson and Alfred and Linda Bryan, all of Falkville and Geraldine McKenzie of Decatur.

The Young at Heart of First Baptist Falkville recently traveled to Athens to dine at LuVici’s Restaurant on The Square. Afterwards, the group shopped in the hardware store adjoining LuVici’s. Enjoying the trip were Joe and Fran Edmonson, Bruce and Georgia Treece, Mike and Deborah Thompson, John and Martha Nelson, Alfred and Linda Ryan, Dwight and Linda Alldredge, Dean Nelson, John Moore, Geraldine Rowe, Barbara Fields and Darlene McCormic.
