Robert F. McCurley

Funeral for Robert F. McCurley, 90, of Hartselle was Mon., Nov. 24, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ralph Henderson officiating.

Burial with military honors was in the Madison Cemetery.

Mr. McCurley died Thur., Nov. 20, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Dec. 4, 1923, in Madison to the late Robert A. and Ida McCurley. He was a WWII 1st Infantry veteran and a member of the Local 15 Bricklayers Union for 58 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a song leader and a Sunday school teacher. He loved God, his church, teaching and singing.

Mr. McCurley is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beatrice McCurley; a daughter, Sandra Alvis; a grandson; two brothers; and three sisters.

He is survived by two sons, Steven McCurley (Gail) of Hartselle; Tim McCurley (Sandra) of Hartselle; a daughter, Rhonda McCurley of Tennessee; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were members of the family.
