Funeral for Corey Dale Drake, 20, of Hartselle was Fri., Aug. 8, at 1 p.m. at Valhermoso Holiness Church with Bro. Tim Patrick officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Valhermoso Holiness Cemetery adjacent to the church.

Mr. Drake died Sat., Aug. 2, 2014. He was born February 15, 1994, in Morgan County to Everett Dale Drake and Victoria Mae Holmes. He was employed by Sonoco as a CNC operator. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, John Schofield and an aunt, Amanda Selby.

He is survived by his wife, Melanie Kaitlin Sanders of Hartselle; a son, Liam Solomon Drake, (18-months-old) of Hartselle; his father and stepmother, Dale Drake (Diane) of Florida; his mother, Vikki Holmes of Somerville; two brothers, James Drake of Michigan and Nathaniel Gingrich of Missouri; three sisters, Angel Holmes of Somerville, Alesha Wheeler of Nebraska and Brittany Gingrich of Florence; his grandmothers, Jackie Smith and Mary Elanor Drake; his great-grandmother, Madge Schofield; aunts, Connie Holmes, Shannon Dross, and Cheri and Teri Smith; uncles, Michael (Tat) Rodriguez, Myron Holmes and John Loney; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sherry and Jeff Sanders; and many cousins.

Pallbearers were family and friends.
