Helen Segars Parker, 87, of Union Hill was Sat., April 5, at Pine Ridge Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with Kenneth Smith, Larry Bishop and Shane Wheeler officiating and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.

Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Parker died Wed., April 2, 2014, at her residence. She was born July 17, 1926, in Morgan County to Grady W. and Annie L. Cobb Segars. She was a loving wife and was married to Clifford B. Parker for 64 years. She was a nurse and homemaker for her family and a devoted member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church for more than 60 years.

She is survived by her husband, Clifford B. Parker; two sons, Clifford Shannon Parker and James Everett Parker II (Jolene); two daughters, Sharon Cobb (Gary) and Kay Phillips (Mickey); three grandchildren, Sean Phillips (Monica), Ty Parker and Dustin Parker; four great-grandchildren, Kairi Phillips, Jack Phillips, Rachel Phillips and Madeline Phillips, a host of nieces, nephews and other family members; her church family; and many friends and neighbors.

Pallbearers were Gary Cobb, James Parker, Shannon Parker, Ty Parker, Mickey Phillips and Sean Phillips.

Honorary pallbearer was Dustin Parker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pine Ridge Baptist Church’s building fund, 1408 Pine Ridge Road, Union Grove, AL 35175 or to a charity of your choice.
