Easter sunrise service at Bethlehem Baptist

Sometimes if my husband, Nathan, isn’t home and I need to leave, I will jot down a few words to let him know where I am and what time I’ll be back. The words in the note have a purpose. In John 20:31 we find some other words that also have a purpose: but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus Christ is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. To understand more about the life of Jesus, the more we need to study God’s Word (the Bible). In I John 5:13 we find these words of purpose: These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

The purpose of these words is for you to know that you have eternal life if you believe God’s truths. Have you truly committed your life to Christ? If you have, you know by faith that you are child of God.
