Follies time
The Hartselle High School Performer Follies featuring the HHS Performers and a special appearance by the HHS Ensemble will be held Saturday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Admission is $5 per person.
Wimberly performing at Princess Theatre
The Decatur Concert Association will be hitting a high note in its season finale with Brenda Wimberly, soprano and Ron Roberts, piano performing in a March 1, 7:30 p.m. concert.
The concert will take place at the Princess Theatre in Decatur.
Roberts, a Huntsville native, is an audience favorite at the Van Cliburn International Competition for Outstanding Amateurs.
The concert is presented by the Decatur Concert Association. Tickets are available at Shaver's Books, the Garlic Press and at the theater box office.
Miller orchestra to play Feb. 24
The Glenn Miller Orchestra will appear at Decatur's Princess Theatre Center for the Performing Arts Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m.
The 19-piece orchestra is under the musical direction of Larry O'Brien and the concert will also feature vocalists Julia Rich and Nick Hilscher.
O'Brien was a trombone player with the Miller band in the 1960s. He took over as the group's leader in 1988.
Reserved tickets are $20 – $27.
Discounts are available for seniors and tickets for seniors and students are $15. The Princess Theatre Box Office is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and one hour prior to performances.
