Priceville’s class of 2013 certainly did not feel 13 was an unlucky number.

Throughout Priceville’s graduation Monday, May 20, the class of 2013 was highly praised by teachers and students alike. The student led ceremony exemplified Priceville’s hopes of “Students Today, Leaders Tomorrow” and exuded pride in the accomplishments of the class as a whole.

Graduate Dustin Lorance grew up in the Priceville area and aspires to be a teacher.

“I wouldn’t trade Priceville and my experiences here for anything,” Lorance said. “The help and support I have received at this school made me want to do the same for others and become a teacher.”

Priceville’s graduating class had five valedictorians with a 4.469 GPA. The class also had one member battling cancer. Graduate Lauren Smith congratulated and thanked her fellow classmates in her Tribute to the Class of 2013.

“We have been told since kindergarten that we are one of the best classes to pass through Priceville,” Smith said. “We can cause an unstoppable domino effect to change the world.”

Principal Mark Mason presented the 101 graduates with their diplomas and closed the ceremony.
