Funeral for Betty Pettey Rollins, 79, of Hartselle was Sun., July 18, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Hartselle with Dr. Jeff Redmond and the Rev. Ron Manley officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Rollins died Thur., July 15, 2010, at her daughter’s residence. She was born Nov. 1, 1930, in Etowah County to Ollie Wright Pettey and Mary Elizabeth Manley Pettey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Mac Rollins; two sons, Michael Don Rollins and Larry Wayne Rollins; a brother, John Albert Pettey; and a sister, Josephine Pettey Weaver. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle, a homemaker and full-time mother to their four children. She and Don enjoyed traveling after retirement and she loved gardening, Alabama football and the Atlanta Braves.
She is survived by a son, Anthony “Tony” Gene Rollins of Boaz; a daughter, Terri Rollins Pugh and husband Mike of Moulton; a sister, Patricia Pettey Pickens and husband Conley of Florida; six grandchildren, Meagan Garmany and husband Mike, Milissa Mathieu and husband Billy, Elizabeth Rollins, Chris Pugh, Matthew Pugh and Josh Rollins; and two great-grandchildren, Sophie Garmany and Kam Mathieu.
Pallbearers were Chris Pugh, Matthew Pugh, Josh Rollins, Mike Garmany, Billy Mathieu and Bruyne Rollins.
