Funeral for Thad “Doc” Posey, 73, of Hartselle will be Sat., Jan. 19 at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Henderson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in New Center Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat., Jan. 19, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Posey died on Thur., Jan. 17, 2013 at his residence. He was born Oct. 2, 1939, in Morgan County to Henry Alan Posey and Bessie Lou Snow Posey. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael Posey and a sister, Sarah Bertha Woods.

He is survived by one daughter, Brenda Franks, and husband Martin, of Somerville; a brother, Velon “Buddy” Posey of Hartselle; two grandchildren, Nicklous and Joshua Franks; a great-grandchild, Hollie Franks; and a special friend, Loretta Bishop.
