Do you value lost souls?

By Todd Barrier

In the parable of the lost sheep in Luke 15:3-7Jesus lets us know how much value each one of us has to Him.

He says that if a shepherd had 99 out of 100 of his sheep, he would go out and find the one that was missing.

He goes on to say that if the sheep is found, they would rejoice over that one sheep, and just like that sheep, there is more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than 99 who need no repentance.

While Jesus shows us the value we have to Him in this parable, it also shows us the value we should have for others. We should care for the lost of this world; we should try our best to show them the gospel!

We should rejoice when a person comes to the knowledge of Christ, repents and is covered in His blood through baptism.

We should value others as much as Jesus values each of our souls.

Do you value the lost of this world?
