All for a good night’s sleep

Boy Scout Troop 336 – including (from left) Daniel Hunter, Gaelin Hunter, John Mayfield, Stephen Quattlebaum, Ian Quattlebaum, Jay McElwain, Anthony Hood, Jeff McElwain and Rooker Pleasant – spends the last Saturday of March building beds with the Hartselle chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a charity that builds beds for children who don’t have a place to sleep. The charity has delivered more 140 beds to local children in need, and the boys of Troop 336 helped add several more to the tally. Chartered by the Kiwanis Club of Hartselle, Troop 336 has been in operation since 1969 and is celebrating its 50th birthday this year. The troop meets Monday nights at 6 p.m. at the Agape House, across the street from First United Methodist Church on Hickory Street in Hartselle. Boys 11-17 are always welcome to visit.
