Renovations and expansion to take place at Life Church
Life Church of Hartselle will be undergoing renovations this month, and will be meeting at the Sparkman Civic Center during the work. The first service at the Civic Center will be held September 9.
Brad Sheats is the lead pastor of Life Church, and said the renovations is part of meeting the needs of their growing services. The renovations will ensure that there is seating for 470 people in the sanctuary, and will expand the children’s area.“We went to three services eight months ago and we have ran out of space. Especially in our children’s area,” Sheats said.
In addition to the work taking place at the church, Sheats said that the Warehouse Coffee shop is also undergoing renovations. The entryway is being updated, and they are adding a kitchen to the shop. In addition to providing the community with coffee and baked goods, the shop also serves as the churches administrative offices and meeting spaces. “We use it support missions and our church groups meet here,” Sheats said.
The church will also help with updating the civic center while they are using the building there. “We want to be an asset and resource for the community. One of the things that excites me is getting to help update the civic center. We will be painting and adding lights,” Sheats said.
The project is expected to take eight months and will be throughout the church, Warehouse and civic center. The exterior renovations will begin the Monday following Depot Day.
