Falkville senior citizens celebrate Easter with Good Friday lunch

First Baptist of Falkville wants to wish a happy birthday to Will Burcham on April 2, Ken James on April 6, Joe Edmondson on April 8, Darcie Dean on April 12, Michael Thompson on April 15, Don Rowe and Caleb Thompson on April 20, Don Blankenship on April 26, Barbara Wright and Grayson James on April 27 and Andy Davis on April 29.

Falkville senior citizens celebrated Easter on Good Friday with a lunch. The party tables were spread with pastel cloths, Easter candy and an Easter bunny cake in the center.

Sharing the good food and fellowship were Becky Burnside, Alice Dutton, Martha Asherbranner, Terry and Jenny Kelsey, Judy McClellan, David Scott, Charles and Linda Williams, Martha Garrison, Adell Gibson, Barbara Asherbranner and Jackie Turner.

Falkville Church of Christ members held an Easter fellowship lunch. They had a singing after the lunch.

Lavon Gibson and Bill Howard were recent visitors of Adell Gibson.

History lesson for this week: Jello pudding made its debut in 1932. Chocolate was the first flavor.

Howard and Helen Gibson, Ray and Betty Sanders Bob and Charlotte Wise and Scotty and Betty Parker met at Libby’s Restaurant at Priceville for their monthly breakfast.

Members of the Falkville High School Class of 1952 extend a speedy recovery to Sarah Hadley Gaines, who broke her hip.
