Rachael Scott McDonald

A celebration of life for Rachael Scott McDonald, 54, of Decatur was Sat., Sept. 12, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. McDonald died Sat., Sept. 5, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born July 18, 1961, in Morgan County to George Robert Scott Jr. and Tressie June Burgess Scott. Her work, her grandkids and Mtn. Dew were her life. She was the breakfast manager for Hardee’s. She was everybody’s friend and was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry McDonald and her parents.

She is survived by her fiance, Dale Ahrendt of Decatur; three daughters, Kelley Ann McDonald and June Kristen McDonald, both of Decatur and Breanna Morgan Vinzant of Danville; two sisters, June Scott of Hartselle and Marsha Scott Buxton of Huntsville; six grandchildren, Sicily, Bryton, Waylan, Antares, Ziggy and John.

In lieu of flowers, make memorials to the Rachael Scott McDonald Fund at Bank Independent.
