Funeral for Billy Joe Hale, 80, will be Wed. (today), Feb. 25, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens.

Mr. Hale returned to his heavenly home Feb. 21, 2015, after a brave battle with cancer. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend to all. He loved his church and worked as an engineer for General Electric for more than 25 years.

He is survived by two sons Christopher (Felicia) and children, Brice and Blaine, and Philip (Betsy) and children, Tyler, Kaitlin, Emily, Will and Ben; a brother, Norman (Spencer) Hale; a sister, Faynell Powell; nieces; nephews; and extended family.
