Priceville Council acts on 11 agenda items

Priceville Council took action on 11 agenda items at its regular meeting Monday night as follows:

•Tabled consideration of an ordinance regulating residential yard waste and bulky waste collection service for the second time

•Approved travel and other expenses for Librarian Paula Hensley to attend an APLS administrator’s meeting in Montgomery Oct. 9.

•Approved travel and other expenses for Town Clerk Constance Childers and Councilman Jerry Welch to attend CMO session 44 in Florence Sept 30 and Childers to attend CMO session 45 in Decatur Oct. 16

•Approved $500 for the Morgan County Child Advocacy Center in FY 2014-2015

•Approved a $1 per hour merit raise for Town Clerk Constance Childers, Treasurer Cindy Livingston and Billing Clerk Donna Eckl for completion of magistrate certification training, effective with the next pay period

•Approved a $1 per hour merit raise for Librarian Paula Hensley for the advancement of the new Linda Duran Public Library, effective with the next pay period

•Approved $3,772.30 to purchase shelving for the Linda Duran Public Library

•Tabled the introduction of an ordinance agreeing to a cable television franchise with Charter Communications LLC

•Approved $150 the State Law Enforcement Support Office’s 2015 surplus program

•Approved $1,800 to purchase a trash pressure pump for the sewer department

•Approved payment of August bills totaling $60,583.92
