Funeral for Brad Kingsbury, 69, of Hartselle will be Sat., Aug. 16, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Fri., Aug. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Kingsbury died Tues., Aug. 12, 2014. He was born Dec. 30, 1944, in Michigan to Merrill Bradford Kingsbury, Sr. and Marie Violet Hawkins Kingsbury. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran serving from 1963-1968 as a Drill Instructor. He was a lifetime member of ARBA (American Rabbit Breeders Association), a member of the American Satin Rabbit Breeders and an ARBA Judge. He also was a member of the American Legion Post # 15 in Decatur. He was an outgoing man that never met a stranger that he wouldn’t help or talk to. He was a loving, cheerful, positive, outgoing husband, father and grandfather. He worked in the trucking industry for 50 years and was employed by Ike Transportation as a Truck Driver. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Gary Kingsbury, Sr. of Vicksburg, Mich.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pat Kingsbury of Hartselle; two sons, Richard Kingsbury (Deborah) of Bronson, Mich. And Timothy Allen Kingsbury (Nedra Huttenlocher) of Jackson, Mich.; a daughter, Tamela Mae Baylis (John) of Hartselle; four brothers, Robert Kingsbury, Duane Kingsbury, both of Paw Paw, Mich., Jerry Kingsbury and John Kingsbury of Kalamazoo, Mich.; a sister, Pam Ruddick of Vicksburg, Mich.; five grandchildren, Dustin Kingsbury, Amanda Kingsbury, Chase Kingsbury, Brandon Kingsbury and Brady Baylis.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Kingsbury, Amanda Kingsbury, Chase Kingsbury, Brandon Kingsbury and Brady Baylis.
