What was that recipe?

Dear Mom’s Corner,

In one of your columns last year you gave two wonderful recipes for family reunions, I’ve lost my copy. Could you please print them again?

Thanks,

SL

Dear SL,

It is the time of year for family reunions. I am not sure what is normally served at your reunions, but here are a couple of recipes I have found most people enjoy that are not very common.

Cream Cheese Pinwheels

Refrigerated crescent dough

8-ounce package cream cheese

Bacon bits

Seasoned salt

Soften cream cheese in microwave for about 30 seconds stir in bacon bits. I usually use about 1/2 container, but feel free to use more. Add seasoned salt to taste, or if you’re watching your salt intake, you can use seasoning like onion and garlic powder along with a bit of pepper.

After the cream cheese mixture is mixed thoroughly set it aside and on a pastry cloth, parchment paper, or lightly floured surface gently roll out the crescent dough, but do not separate it!
